Complexity has grown with tax law over the years
Taxes are a lot more complex today then in days of yore. When we were colonies, the principle of having a say (representation) in matter of taxation become an established principle.
In today's world, our clientelle need representation provided by knowledgable and competent professionals highly trained in specialty and general tax areas to assure that they are getting all that the law entitles them to. Many people overlook the advantages of good tax counsel. Planning is important, expecially before financial decisions are made. There are also other taxes that don't involve income. Then, again, some factors like year-end inventory levels (in Virginia) impact income tax expense and tax deferral. Tax deferral improves cash flow and enables the business to use fund and/or earn interest on the deferral. This can reduce debt needed and thereby reduce interest or other financing costs. |
